The day started out windy and jacket weather cool on the water.
Larry, Jake, John and I headed out the Jupiter Inlet with a whistling west wind, making the near shore seas flat calm. Running the boat north about 1-mile we looked for any signs of fish but found none. So we motored back in the inlet against the wind and ran up the river. After trying a few spot we found a Seacret Spot and started catching single, double, and triple header jack up to 6-pound on top water plugs.
I have been guiding a while and still get excited when a fish explodes on an artificial bait and knocks it out of the water very aggressively. On one cast a fish splashed on the water so violently near the boat it startled big Jake. We caught lots of fish and left them biting. I like that.
